Golf and Cruise Packages - "Golf and Pro-Am in the Caribbean"

Golf and Sail Packages - "Golf and Pro-Am in the Caribbean" in partnership with Figaro Golf. Dates: 2/10/2022 to2/22/2022. 13 days 12 nights onboard.

Le Figaro and PONANT invite you to combine the pleasures of sailing and teeing off during a 13-day golf cruise to the heart of the Caribbean. For this latest edition of the "Golf and Pro-Am in the Caribbean" cruise you will be embarking on Le Champlain for a voyage of discovery to selected golf courses on a 12-night luxury cruise.

The golf optional packages "Pro-Am" and "Leisure Golf" give you access to world-renowned golf courses: Teeth of the Dog and Dye Fore (Casa de Campo - La Romana), St. Lucia Golf Club (Saint Lucia), The Grenadines Estate Golf Club (Canouan), Sandy Lane Country Club (Barbados), Royal Westmoreland (Barbados). As part of this exceptional cruise, there are two golf competition options available:

•A six-round Pro-Am competition

•A leisure golf package on six courses with two optional competitions

The most experienced among you will be able to participate in the Pro-Am tournament, a program with six rounds, in the company of professional players led by the French golf legend Bernard Pascassio.

Less experienced golfers have not been forgotten: they will have the possibility of practicing their swing freely on the same courses as the Pro-Am teams, by the sea, while enjoying breathtaking panoramas.

As well as indulging your passion in exceptional locations, you will be discovering the most beautiful places the Caribbean has to offer: the Dominican Republic and its charming seaside resort La Romana, the splendid islands of Dominica and Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines on the island of Mayreau and at Canouan, where dazzling white beaches rival in beauty, Barbados with its picture-postcard beaches and capital Bridgetown.

There will be plenty of shore and ship activities for those not golfing or between rounds. These will depend on the island and availability.

Golf and Sail Packages - "Golf and Pro-Am in the Caribbean" in partnership with Figaro Golf. Dates: 2/10/2022 to2/22/2022. 13 days 12 nights onboard.

At Le Figaro, we love values, emotions, and horizons.

Very early on we wanted to share our passions with readers for culture, history, debating ideas, music and golf, while traveling or on a cruise.

Our cruises offer as many unforgettable experiences as we wish. Each is an opportunity to introduce you to new themes through outstanding speakers, or key players on the French cultural and political scene, as well as the best writers at Le Figaro (editorial writers, columnists, and journalists). We try to open up unusual places for you, privatizing certain museums and organizing concerts in exceptional venues, or receptions in prestigious residences (palaces, embassies, chateaus…). These cruises are also a privileged opportunity for our guest speakers to share opinions with you and offer insights and their expertise at lecture debates and on less formal occasions.

The wide fairways make it very playable, and allow players to enjoy the majestic setting.

This exhilarating and challenging championship course, designed by the American Jim Fazio extends across spectacular steep hills by the ocean. It offers a unique character and game, with fabulous views of the vast turquoise blue Caribbean Sea from every hole. A fresh breeze blowing from the northeast adds to the challenge.

BARBADOS

5th course: ROYAL WESTMORELAND (BARBADOS) ‑ PAR 72

Designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr on a former sugar cane plantation, this is a world-class golf course with a Caribbean twist. Surrounded by lush tropical vegetation, the greens demand skill and dexterity.

Depending on the season, let yourself be tempted by the swimming pool or a spot of sunbathing. This day without a port of call will also be an opportunity to enjoy the conferences or shows proposed on board, to do some shopping in the boutique, or to meet the PONANT photographers in their dedicated space. As for lovers of the open sea, they will be able to visit the ship's upper deck to admire the spectacle of the waves and perhaps be lucky enough to observe marine species. A truly enchanted interlude, combining comfort, rest, and entertainment.

During your port of call, do not miss out on discovering the enchanting landscapes of the Indian River: navigating through this dense mangrove, in which creepers, ferns, forest trees and giant roots are interweaved, is a magical experience, a fascinating voyage into the heart of an almost mystical natural universe.

Its historic quarters are UNESCO World Heritage sites and contain prime examples of British colonial architecture, which you will see between the postcard-perfect fishing harbor and St Ann's Fort. Streets shaded by palms and flamboyant trees lead you to the Anglican cathedral church of St Michael, built from coral stone, the Barbados Museum, and George Washington House, a Georgian-style mansion. At the harbor mouth, on its strip of land, fort Saint-Louis overlooks the capital city of Martinique. If you climb up to it, you can see some breathtaking views. Saint Louis Cathedral and the Schoelcher library bear witness to a secular history, intimately linked to the island's story. Why not try some fresh coconut at the colorful Grand Marché.
