No Studying on Vacation
By completing your theory from home in advance, you won’t have to spend hours in a classroom when you’re on your vacation. You’ll simply take a quick review to ensure you understood the eLearning content, and the rest of your holiday time will be packed with the fun stuff – being underwater!

When you sign up for eLearning, you sign up for independent study. This means you’ll be able to study at times that suit you and your schedule. Whether you are working, at school, or have other commitments, eLearning gives you maximum flexibility.
No deadlines, no pressure
PADI eLearning puts you in control of how you study. You can move through your course at a pace that suits you and your learning style.
There’s no pressure because the most popular online PADI programs do not expire. Take as much time as you need to complete: Open Water, Advanced Open Water, Enriched Air Diver, and the Instructor Development Course (IDC). After finishing your online training, you can review the study material as many times as you want. Your only deadline is when you board your flight for your underwater adventure for these courses! Even then, you’ll be able to complete your eLearning anywhere with an internet connection.

Support a local dive center
If you are planning to take your course while on holiday, once you have completed your eLearning, you can also take the confined water (swimming pool sessions) at a local dive shop close to home (find dive shops near you here). This means you’ll be making the ocean dives on vacation instead of spending time in a pool. It also means you’ll be supporting a local dive shop in your home area, potentially meeting other divers, and joining your local diving community.
Plan your budget
Taking a dive course is a financial commitment that we need to plan and save for. By taking PADI eLearning, you can spread the cost of your dive course over 2 payments, one for eLearning and one at your chosen dive center – giving you time to budget and save in between! If you opt to take your confined water at a local dive center and the open water dives on vacation, you’ll be able to spread that cost too.
